What custom joinery is, and when it beats flat-pack
Most storage in a New Zealand home was never designed for the house it sits in. It was bought in a standard width, packed out with filler strips, and left with a gap at the ceiling that collects dust for the next twenty years.
Custom joinery starts from the other end. We measure the room you actually have, work out what actually needs to go in it, and draw the cabinetry around both. Full height where it should be full height, drawers where drawers work harder than doors, and the awkward corner turned into something useful instead of something ignored.
It is drawn, made and installed by one team, so nothing gets lost between the design and the fit-off.
